We
know giving your home a proper clean costs time and money, but there's an
easier way to get your house looking pick and span...
It's time to ditch
expensive cleaning products in money saving hacks. Want to
remove carpet stains? Or eradicate smells? These tips help.............
1.
Clean your shower head
Shower heads can get
quickly get covered in grime without you really noticing, causing water
blockages. Fill a clear sandwich bag with warm water, vinegar and lemon, then
tie the bag tightly round your showers nozzle to allow the mixture to soak in
and remove any dirt.
2.
Create your own oven cleaner
Cleaning your oven can often prove to be one of the most frustrating
of all cleaning tasks. Try making your own formula out of vinegar, dish soap,
baking soda and a lemon or lime to create your own grease removing oven
cleaner.
3.
Deep clean your car
There are plenty of
easy ways to get the outside and interior of your car cleaned without having to
pay a visit to your local car wash. For the interior try a squeegee on the
seats and an old toothbrush to scrub away old dirt on hard surfaces, and for
the exterior try cleaning your car's wipers by rubbing them with alcohol to
help prevent smearing on the windshield.
4.
Homemade microwave cleaner
Put some cut-up
lemons, cider vinegar and water in a microwaveable bowl before placing the bowl
on full power in your microwave for several minutes. Leave it to steam inside
your microwave for 10 minutes to remove odours before easily wiping away any
remaining stains.
5.
Clean up greasy cabinets
It can often be hard
to spot the grease that builds up on wooden cabinets, but if left long enough
without cleaning you'll soon start to notice it. Mix equal parts warm water and
soap before wiping the greasy surface down and drying it with a separate cloth.
Baking soda is also an effective alternative.
6.
Unblock your drains
Unclogging drains
without having to buy specific products is easier than you might think. Pour
boiled water into the blocked drain before adding a cup of baking soda. Next,
add a mixture of warm water and vinegar before pouring in more boiled water.
Your drain should be good as new.
7.
Create your own fabric freshener
Add a good amount of
fabric softener and water to a spray bottle to create your own DIY freshener.
